About The Position

Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain Somerset Park Apartments, a 384-unit community in Bath, Michigan, in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition. The role includes maintaining effective relationships with service staff, residents, and vendors, providing a high level of customer service, conducting preventive inspections, completing service requests, and assisting with apartment make-ready work. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Requirements

• High school education level.
• Strong customer service skills and a hard-working approach.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Team-oriented, positive attitude.
• Ability to problem-solve and pay attention to detail.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Able to meet the stated physical demands, including occasionally lifting or moving 100 pounds.
• Must be available for after-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotated schedule.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of multifamily experience preferred.
• Facilities maintenance experience is a plus.
• EPA Certification highly preferred; otherwise, must be willing to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
• Pool experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by completing necessary repairs.
• Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service.
• Follow preventive maintenance guidelines and inspect grounds and buildings.
• Maintain property grounds.
• Handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and other service requests.
• Work as part of a team to achieve property goals.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotated schedule.
