About The Position

Ackermann Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 for Fairway Lakes Apartments, a 340-unit community in Westerville, Ohio. The role delivers customer service through apartment make-readies and maintenance, grounds and equipment upkeep, snow removal, janitorial work, and basic service requests. It is a training role intended to build proficiency in the maintenance trade. The technician may work independently or alongside other maintenance staff and responds to periodic after-hours emergency requests as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related experience demonstrating broad knowledge of general maintenance.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with emergency on-call rotation as designated by the Community Manager.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• EPA Type I and II, CAMT, and/or CPO certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform apartment unit make-readies and intermediate-level repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC, and painting.
• Assist with snow removal and participate in snow-event preparation.
• Maintain exterior grounds, equipment, and the apartment community’s facilities.
• Perform janitorial duties to preserve and maintain the community and its facilities.
• Manage pool water, if applicable.
• Participate in move-in and move-out inspections.
• Complete general property maintenance identified by the supervisor.
• Respond to periodic after-hours emergency maintenance requests.
• Participate in preventative maintenance tasks for the community and its equipment.
• Assist with inventory management of maintenance items as needed.
• Perform other work-related tasks assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
