About The Position
Monroe Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Fairway Village Apartments in Dallas, Texas. Under the supervision and direction of the Community Manager, the position is responsible for ensuring that the community’s physical aspects meet established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within budget. This includes the building’s interior and exterior and other areas involved in the building’s day-to-day function and residents’ activities. The technician also oversees outside contracts and vendors. The role includes general maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures; property and unit inspections; maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness; scheduling and maintaining the Make-Ready Board; and purchasing materials and managing budgets. The maintenance team is expected to provide residents with safe, decent, and sanitary housing.
Requirements
- Previous experience in apartment or multifamily maintenance.
- English proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing.
- Ability to pass a full background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience, including knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

- Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
- Technical training and license preferred.
Responsibilities
