About The Position

Hotel Equities is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Maintenance Tech/Houseman to support hotel operations. The position maintains the hotel's physical facilities, equipment, and guest areas to help ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment. It responds to maintenance needs, performs routine repairs and preventative maintenance, and supports the hotel's operational needs. The role also contributes to positive experiences for guests and associates and helps the team meet its operational and business goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel maintenance, engineering, facilities, or general building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Dependability, a hands-on approach, and pride in maintaining a safe and well-kept hotel.
• Ability to respond to maintenance needs with urgency and sound judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Effective communication with guests, associates, and management.

• Experience with hotel maintenance/work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, associates, and management.
• Maintain hotel facilities, equipment, and common areas in a safe and operational condition.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete work orders and document completed maintenance activities.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain property standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company, hotel brand, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond appropriately to urgent property needs and support emergency maintenance situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
