About The Position

The Houseman supports hotel operations by preparing and reviewing assigned guest rooms, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and responding positively to guest inquiries. The role also involves organizing shift tools and materials, following schedules and department standards, respecting guest and coworker privacy, and contributing constructively to team learning and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Organize the tools and materials needed for the shift.
• Report for duty on time according to the posted schedule and remain aware of scheduled shifts and learning sessions.
• Submit specific time-off requests before the schedule is posted.
• Be aware of department standards, goals, objectives, performance, and specific guest requests.
• Clean, prepare, and review assigned guest rooms.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for yourself, guests, and coworkers.
• Respect the privacy of others and follow company security, operating-process, and environmental policies.
• Respond positively to guest inquiries in line with standards.
• Proactively ensure guests are acknowledged in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Respect coworkers’ perspectives, privacy, safety, and security.
• Provide constructive suggestions and feedback to leadership on product, process, or learning-delivery improvements.
• Participate fully in team training and learning exercises.
• Focus on customer needs, remain flexible and adaptable, approach change positively, and demonstrate pride in your work.
