About The Position

LTD Hospitality Group is seeking a motivated Houseman to support hotel operations and help provide an exceptional guest experience. The Houseman cleans and maintains corridors and public areas according to housekeeping procedures, standards, and safety and security requirements, and assists room attendants on assigned floors to meet the company’s cleanliness standards and guest expectations. The position includes moving heavy items, delivering linens and supplies, shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning public and back-of-house areas, collecting trash, responding to guest requests, and inspecting public areas. The role requires thorough knowledge of emergency procedures, strong communication and attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding work. Weekend and holiday work is required.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand for significant amounts of time.
Ability to lift and push or pull approximately 50 pounds.
Ability to stand continuously throughout the day.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Assist room attendants with heavy items, including mattresses, soiled linens, and garbage.
Deliver linens and necessary supplies to room attendants.
Shampoo carpets and strip and wax floors throughout the hotel.
Clean designated areas, including the lobby, public restrooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Collect trash throughout the hotel, including from room attendant carts, vending areas, room service areas, offices, and restrooms.
Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests, including delivering housekeeping supplies such as linens and infant cribs.
Inspect public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and report problem areas to the supervisor.
Perform other duties, projects, and tasks assigned by the employee’s manager.
