About The Position

Hotel Equities is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Maintenance Tech/Houseman to support hotel operations. The position maintains the hotel's physical facilities, equipment, and guest areas to provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment. It responds to maintenance needs, performs routine repairs and preventative maintenance, and supports the hotel's operational needs. The role calls for a hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining a well-kept hotel, responds to issues with urgency and sound judgment, and communicates effectively with guests, associates, and management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel maintenance, engineering, facilities, or general building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, supplies, and materials as needed, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use ladders and perform work at various heights when necessary.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying temperatures.

• Experience with hotel maintenance or work order systems.
• Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, associates, and management.
• Maintain hotel facilities, equipment, and common areas in a safe and operational condition.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete work orders and document completed maintenance activities.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain property standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company, hotel brand, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond appropriately to urgent property needs and support emergency maintenance situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
