About The Position

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide first-line leadership to the plant maintenance team, ensuring the reliable operation and long-term performance of site assets. This role is focused on maximizing equipment availability and ensuring all machinery remains fit for purpose while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will lead efforts to identify root causes of equipment failures, implement permanent corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that extend asset life and deliver optimal value.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or technical school training preferred.
  • 5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with predictive/preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience implementing predictive/preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience with TPM and/or Lean initiatives.
  • Experience implementing TPM and/or Lean initiatives.
  • Experience with SAP PM or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong computer application skills, network and PC business application software.
  • Supervisory / Management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line leadership for the plant maintenance team responsible for asset care.
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, regulatory standards and productivity goal attainment.
  • Manage maintenance labour and spares part budget.
  • Initiate cost savings measures.
  • Ensure that plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Ensure all maintenance related works align with corporate engineering standards including sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety and food safety requirements.
  • Continuously apply sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve obstacles to plant efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime / inefficient operational issues.
  • Manage maintenance schedule to efficient execution.
  • Works with the production team on maintenance planning and execution.
  • Monitor crew performance and provide feedback.
  • Ensure work order compliance including predictive and preventive maintenance.
