About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to provide supervisory and technical support for the Plant’s preventive maintenance program. This includes mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, steam, water, vacuum, and compressed air systems. The role supports production management by overseeing throughput, employee safety, labor effectiveness, and product quality. The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise personnel, promote productivity, manage departmental resources within budget, and support efficient production operations. This position is located at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in manufacturing operations, engineering, management, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred and or equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities for this position.
  • 2 years’ experience directly related to maintenance/production supervisory with process analysis and troubleshooting experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in food processing environment, preferably in the tomato and/or fruit industry, including aseptic processing as well as formulated processing.
  • 2 years’ experience supervising a large group of employees.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises operation, installation, repair and maintenance of plant equipment and systems under the direction of the department manager.
  • Troubleshoots, directs and coordinates with staff to effectively correct malfunctions with equipment, through determining root cause and eliminating repeated failures.
  • Schedules for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operation within, but not limited to, an assigned department.
  • Supports operations in equipment start-up, shut down and CIP processes.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
