About The Position

The Maintenance Welder performs repairs and maintenance on vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, and rails, and performs fabrication work. The role uses welding, cutting, bending, and fabrication equipment to repair and build steel and aluminum components. The welder follows safety policies and procedures, completes required paperwork, and performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 1 year of welding experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Attention to detail.
Effective communication, including timely and accurate written reports.
Professional, courteous, and cooperative customer service.
Dependability, including punctuality and adherence to the established work schedule.
Adherence to company policies, rules, and ethical standards.
Commitment to following and promoting safety rules and procedures, recognizing hazards, and avoiding inappropriate risks.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment, diagnose and anticipate problems, determine root causes of failures, and select appropriate repair options.

Responsibilities

Cut and weld repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, and rails, and perform fabrication work.
Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and arc welding equipment.
Bend steel components using a brake and shear.
Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
Fabricate steel components on trucks.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Complete required paperwork.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
