The Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman supports a successful model home center by performing varied home repair work and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves repairing common service problems associated with manufactured housing, responding promptly to service calls, and completing repairs thoroughly and on time. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Numerous and varied handyman skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and friendly, with a solid work ethic and pride in work.
- Strong organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Hand-eye coordination and physical strength; ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb.
- Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Endurance to perform strenuous tasks.
- Ability to safely climb ladders.
- Ability to work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold, rain, and snow.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
- Complete service requests.
- Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
- Repair exterior and roof damage.
- Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Assist with miscellaneous duties as required and contribute to a team environment.
