About The Position

The Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman supports a successful model home center by repairing common service problems associated with manufactured housing and providing prompt, thorough, and timely service. The role involves varied handyman skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The position pays $19.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience, and offers professional development and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable, dependable, and friendly, with a solid work ethic and pride in work.
• Strong organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a high level of customer satisfaction and strong customer relations skills.
• Numerous and varied handyman skills.
• Reliable van or truck for service calls; compensation is provided for business-related vehicle use.
• Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance for strenuous tasks; ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold, rain, and snow.
• Ability to excel in and contribute to a team environment; cooperative and collaborative approach.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Repair exterior and roof damage.
• Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
