About The Position
This seasonal maintenance role with Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation provides hands-on experience maintaining facilities and grounds along the Riverfront. Incumbents will perform janitorial, groundskeeping, and minor maintenance tasks while following City safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years old, with three years of high school completed
- Effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid Indiana Driver's License as required
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain buildings, restrooms, grounds, and assigned areas
- Remove litter, debris, trash, and graffiti
- Assist trades crews and operate equipment safely
- Maintain work-related reports and records
- Follow safety policies and guidelines
- Drive one-ton or small utility trucks as needed
