Requirements
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Able to perform essential job functions
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (required after conditional offer of employment)
- Medical examination (required after conditional offer of employment)
Responsibilities
- Perform work in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, plaster, painting, air conditioning, and refrigeration specialties
- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of facility equipment, including pumps, generators, heating systems, and electrical components
- Repair doors, flooring, and furniture, fabricate partitions, and operate woodworking tools and trucks for facility needs
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces and complete masonry tasks on buildings, foundations, walks, and walls
- Remove snow, cut grass, and operate basic grounds equipment to maintain safe outdoor conditions
- Operate stretchers, transport vehicles, mini-vans, and wheelchair vans for resident trips
