- Experience in cleaning, washing, peeling, slicing, and dicing vegetables
- Experience using kitchen equipment such as a vertical cutter mixer (VCM), a food processor, a tabletop chopper, and a garbage disposal
- Experience chopping, dicing, and slicing meats, poultry, fish, and cheeses
- Experience grilling, steaming, and heating simple foods such as eggs, sandwiches, and hamburgers
- Experience preparing sandwiches, assembling salads, and serving portions, including desserts
- Experience preparing and serving hot or cold beverages
- Experience cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items

- Experience transporting food and supplies to and from freezers, refrigerators, and storerooms

Responsibilities
- Store food items and supplies in dining areas such as refrigerators and storage closets
- Portion foods and prepare snacks and nourishments for residents
- Set up tray lines and assemble trays with foods shown on menus and tray tags
- Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, work surfaces, and food service areas
- Dispose of trash and transport food, tray trucks, and supplies throughout the facility
