About The Position

The PA Liquor Control Board is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to join our Central Office Maintenance Division at the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. This position offers a fast-paced environment where your abilities make a real difference. You will take on many tasks that support the safety, comfort, and reliability of the building. This role supports the maintenance and upkeep of the Northwest Office Building by performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks across many trades.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• No felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of building tasks including painting, masonry, plumbing, electric, and carpentry
• Operate and maintain chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning units, and control systems to ensure comfort and energy efficiency
• Check tools, machinery, and mechanical systems for defects and make repairs or adjustments in line with safety standards
• Install, repair, and move office furniture, modular systems, partitions, blinds, and window treatments
• Respond promptly to building maintenance emergencies and participate in fire safety activities as directed
