This position focuses on skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work that supports the needs of the hospital. The role involves performing building, equipment, and system repairs across several trades. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties: General Repairs: Complete building maintenance tasks including repairs, renovations, and preventative work. Electrical Work: Install circuits, lighting, switches, outlets, and related components. Plumbing Tasks: Install and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing equipment. Surface Finishing: Prep, prime, paint, and finish interior and exterior surfaces. Structural Work: Install drywall, framing, doors, windows, and trim components. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools and machinery for construction and repair.
Requirements
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
- Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
