Requirements
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- Possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair county buildings, stockpiles, and facility structures
- Service electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems and identify needed follow-up work
- Repair machinery, small engines, and assist diesel mechanics with major vehicle repairs
- Mow lawns, clear snow, and complete exterior cleaning and upkeep tasks
- Create building forms and complete masonry work for walls, sidewalks, and related structures
- Deliver fuel, pick up parts, inspect fire extinguishers, and support storeroom tasks during winter
