About The Position

As a Maintenance Repairman 2 for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources at Laurel Hill State Park, you will play an important role in keeping park facilities in strong working order. This position gives you the chance to use and grow your abilities in carpentry, electrical work, masonry, and equipment repair. This position focuses on performing skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work across multiple parks in the Laurel Hill Complex.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Submission of criminal history reports upon conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

• Repair park buildings, install windows, and doors, perform carpentry, and maintain historic structures
• Perform electrical and plumbing tasks in park buildings, campgrounds, and overnight facilities
• Assist with operating backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks, snowplows, and related equipment
• Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as welding, painting, lubrication, brake repair, and tire work
• Maintain tools, equipment, and shop areas in clean working condition and track inventory of repair materials
• Use blueprints, drawings, and schematics to identify and resolve equipment and facility issues
