About The Position

The Maintenance/Repair role at Hampton Inn Evansville operates and maintains hotel mechanical systems and equipment safely and efficiently. The position uses sound engineering practices and specified corporate operating procedures to operate central HVAC and other mechanical equipment. It also repairs and maintains food-production and kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines, refrigeration systems, boilers, plumbing systems, and electrical and natural-gas distribution systems. The role troubleshoots electrical and pneumatic problems and performs ongoing preventive and predictive maintenance.

Requirements

• Previous hotel engineering experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and general building construction.
• Vocational training, an associate's degree, certification, and/or apprenticeship in one or more relevant areas; state certification or licensure where required.
• Ability to understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdowns.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain food-production and related kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines, refrigeration systems, boilers, plumbing systems, and electrical and natural-gas distribution systems.

• Perform ongoing preventive and predictive maintenance.
