As a member of the Student Affairs Facilities and Operations department, the Logistics Specialist is part of a team responsible for the day-to-day logistics functions supporting residence halls, dining facilities, and student centers. Responsibilities include moving and storage of department assets including student room, lounge, and office furnishings; safe operation of departmental vehicles including box trucks and utility vehicles; inspection and light maintenance of departmental fleet vehicles; furniture and upholstery maintenance and cleaning; assistance with cabinet shop operations; and support for maintenance operations logistics needs. The position requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a team while maintaining safe work practices in densely populated pedestrian and student environments. The successful candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, customer service, safe driving practices, and care of university assets and equipment. Overtime may be required during peak operational periods or emergency situations resulting in student displacement.
