About The Position

Caviness Beef Packers is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for its Amarillo Grind Plant. The role encompasses mechanics at different skill levels, mechanic assistants, and electricians. Maintenance and electronic/electrical workers help maintain the facility and its equipment to ensure they operate efficiently. The position is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance-related subjects.
• Willingness to participate on various teams, such as HAZMAT.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• May operate heavy machinery.
• Use a variety of tools to repair, retrieve, and maintain equipment in working order.
• Conduct daily setup of the area and troubleshoot.
• Work around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity.
• Ensure safety, food safety, and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
