About The Position

The Ground Beef Maintenance Superintendent leads the Ground Beef Operations Maintenance Electronics Department. The role provides leadership and oversight for maintenance operations, team development, equipment reliability, and food safety initiatives while supporting continuous improvement throughout the department. The superintendent oversees maintenance support for daily operations, preventive maintenance, and equipment breakdown response, and helps develop plans to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

5–7 years of food industry maintenance experience or equivalent.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Above-average computer proficiency.
PLC troubleshooting, editing, and programming experience.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Oversee safety for themselves and their subordinates.
Promote a food safety mindset throughout the team.
Oversee maintenance support for daily operations.
Oversee maintenance breakdowns and help develop root-cause prevention plans.
Support Maintenance Department processes and policies, as well as company policies.
Ensure planned preventive maintenance work orders are completed on time.
Coach and develop team members to support succession planning and strengthen the department.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
Ensure shift events and key information are communicated effectively during shift transitions.
Create and audit procedures for preventive maintenance work orders.
