About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic at its Highland, Illinois facility. The role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment, plant equipment, and associated systems. The core schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtime may extend beyond those hours and may be mandatory. The hourly rate is $27.92, plus a $0.50 shift differential.

Candidates must have at least one year of industrial maintenance experience and a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. The position does not offer relocation benefits; candidates generally must live within 50 miles of Highland, Illinois, with an exception for active-duty military service member candidates. Eaton will not provide employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

Requirements

• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in metal fabrication.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with wastewater treatment.
• Ability to modify or program PLCs and HMIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Complete and maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation.
• Operate a variety of lifts and similar equipment.
• Maintain and follow all safety requirements.
• Maintain and secure tools and repair equipment, and maintain and clean work areas.
