About The Position

Provide maintenance support for the Belgravia facility by maintaining and repairing machinery in areas including evisceration, packaging, and W&P. The role involves identifying day-to-day problems and solutions, determining which actions can be taken independently and which require higher-level approval, determining job requirements, and providing for safety. The mechanic also helps maintain quality and food safety in compliance with company quality standards and USDA requirements, and maintains management standards.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in poultry processing maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make immediate corrections in emergency situations.
• Ability to weld, arc weld, heli-arc weld, and use a cutting torch.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely from a ladder.
• Must pass a mechanical test used to determine skill level.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends as required.
• Willingness to cross-train in the processing maintenance area.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of 8–10 hours on a concrete or metal-grate floor.
