About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic B ensures equipment operates safely and optimally by troubleshooting and repairing equipment and carrying out preventative maintenance. The role works with production staff, coworkers, and vendors or contractors in an efficient, safe, and professional manner. The position is for nights; the posting also states that candidates must be able to work flexible hours and all three shifts.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Familiarity with centrifugal pumps, positive displacement (PD) pumps, and progressive cavity pumps; understanding of gear ratios and speeds.
• Knowledge of using hand tools and operating power tools.
• Ability to operate a drill press and hydraulic press.
• Ability to perform quality horizontal welds using MIG, TIG, and ARC.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of basic electricity.
• Ability to use a multimeter, tape measure, and torque wrench measured in ft-lb and in-lb.
• Basic knowledge of three-phase motors, motor controls, wrapping, and food processing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Good understanding of safe work practices and knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Ability to read, understand, and implement written instructions and procedures in English.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in a group setting and independently.
• Ability to work flexible hours and all three shifts.
• Detail orientation and strong mathematical aptitude.
• Must pass a Math/Reading Comprehensive test.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of 8–10 hours on concrete or metal grate floors and work in cold conditions.
