About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to oversee and perform repairs on production facility equipment. The role performs mechanical preventive and repair maintenance, troubleshoots distribution center equipment and controls, addresses electrical system issues, installs equipment, welds, and completes equipment changeovers. The mechanic records work performed, follows safety guidelines, and identifies needed parts while maintaining stockroom inventory. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of industrial maintenance experience.
• One to three years of PLC troubleshooting experience.
• One to three years of electrical experience, such as three-phase systems.
• Three years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• One to two years of pneumatics experience.
• Maintenance troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of fabricating, electrical systems, pneumatics, welding, and rigging.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems using fluent troubleshooting techniques.
• Good machine shop skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical preventive and repair maintenance on production equipment according to written work orders and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve issues related to distribution center equipment and controls.
• Understand and troubleshoot issues related to electrical phase systems.
• Install equipment and perform welding.
• Record completed work on provided forms.
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Identify needed parts and maintain parts inventory in the stockroom.
• Perform equipment changeovers.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
