About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility, ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and equipment by developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing a team of maintenance personnel, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime while adhering to safety regulations and budget constraints; key duties include planning maintenance schedules, troubleshooting equipment issues, managing spare parts inventory, and collaborating with other departments to optimize production efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in maintenance management in relevant industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Close attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Proven ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks design.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or other relevant certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement proactive maintenance strategies including preventative maintenance schedules, predictive maintenance techniques, and routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major breakdowns.
  • Supervise and manage a team of hourly and salary maintenance personnel, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Enforcing safety protocols, identifying hazards, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
  • Design and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and identify root causes.
  • Effectively manage and motivate a team of hourly and salary personnel.
  • Clearly communicate instructions, updates, and concerns to staff and management.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in maintenance practices.
  • Regular attendance at work is a necessary function of the role.
