About The Position

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the safe and responsible performance of duties in accordance with company policy, including maintaining general work area cleanliness. This role ensures a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is utilized for tracking work orders, spare parts, supplies, and maintenance history of plant equipment. The manager will implement equipment modifications in response to safety/quality concerns, product revisions, and efficiency improvement requests. A key responsibility is supervising a team of technicians for a three (3) shift operation, continually developing them to achieve performance objectives in a safe work environment. The role also ensures the proper maintenance and operation of all production equipment and plant systems, analyzes production data to prioritize corrective and preventive actions, and participates in hands-on work as needed. Collaboration with HR is expected for interviewing, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, and problem resolution. Compliance with OSHA Safety and Health rules is mandatory. The manager will develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans, and work with internal and external partners to ensure seamless integration of automation technologies. Daily maintenance activities will be supervised to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution. Other duties and projects as required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Word processing software; Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • SAP and some experience with some form of eMaintenance systems desirable.
  • Familiarity with Auto Cad.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using standard mathematical practices – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment having exposure to the repair and maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • OSHA Training
  • Must be certified forklift trainer or complete training within 180 days of hire
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, workflow, and operational procedures.
  • PLC experience
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Prior experience with SAP.
  • Proficient in Safety, environment, waste (Hazmat), used oil, TPM, and 5s management
  • Strong experience in managing capital projects and maintenance-related automation initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering degree preferred.
