About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the proper functioning of warehouse equipment such as material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, and general building repairs. This role also involves monitoring and ensuring associate compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, and DOT, related to maintenance operations. The manager will drive and implement the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety, and implement operational improvements. They will forecast and follow up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. Additionally, the manager will oversee assigned financial aspects, monitoring and tracking expenses and capital expenditures against budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. This role involves supervising and managing associates and leaders, providing direction, monitoring performance, giving feedback, identifying training needs, and facilitating learning and growth opportunities. The manager will also teach, support, and model company policies and procedures, and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation processes. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates. Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification (e.g., Maintenance, Controls, Electrical) and 1 year of experience in an operations, distribution, logistics, or retail environment with responsibilities including: supervising and developing managers/supervisors, managing workload across multiple departments, participating in hiring and promotions.
  • OR at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or related technical environment with the same leadership and staffing responsibilities listed above.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).

  • Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth.
