About The Position

The Maintenance Manager plans, assigns, and directs the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and environmental services. The role implements and manages plans that support the hospital’s mission and goals while meeting requirements of TJC and other applicable local, state, and federal regulatory or accrediting agencies. The Maintenance Manager directly supervises and guides maintenance and environmental services staff.

The position supports cultural diversity by helping ensure the delivery of quality, equitable, culturally competent, patient-centered care; promoting and maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and accepting work environment; and ensuring cultural diversity and sensitivity training is included in new employee orientation on an ongoing basis to meet the needs of the hospital’s patient population.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and direct the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and environmental services.
• Implement and manage plans to meet the hospital’s mission and goals and applicable regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance to maintenance and environmental services staff.
• Support quality, equitable, culturally competent, patient-centered care.

• Ensure cultural diversity and sensitivity training is included in new employee orientation on an ongoing basis.
