About The Position

IT8 is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead an on-site maintenance team supporting industrial CNC machining equipment in Decatur, Illinois. The manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer's maintenance and production teams. The position is expected to begin in November 2026 as an initial 12-month project assignment. The schedule is weekend-focused and requires at least 40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with remaining hours scheduled during the week. Additional overtime may be required based on project needs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industrial CNC machine maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years of maintenance team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning and CMMS software.
• Professional English proficiency, spoken and written.
• Ability to work on-site in Decatur, Illinois, including weekends.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.

• Experience with Siemens or Fanuc controls.
• Experience with gear-machining equipment.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of four mechanical and electrical maintenance technicians.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for CNC machinery and automatic tool-changing systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC control issues.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, equipment readiness, and operational priorities.
• Communicate directly with the customer and provide maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, including LOTO procedures.
