Williams International is hiring several CNC Machining Apprentices beginning January 2027. Under the supervision of a Manufacturing Team Leader/Mentor, apprentices first complete a three-month pre-apprenticeship focused on safety, basic blueprint reading, basic machining on conventional lathes and mills, measurement, and parts verification. After successful completion, apprentices are registered with the Department of Labor in a CNC Machining apprenticeship program. The two-year program combines on-the-job training with instructor-led courses through Oakland Community College, focusing on CNC lathes, CNC mills, and advanced machining. After successful completion of the program, the candidate will finish in an off-shift position as a permanent full-time employee. Williams International develops and manufactures jet engines for military and commercial aircraft. The company describes its culture as fostering creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
