About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager at a Class A Luxury multifamily location in San Francisco, CA. The client is a well-established, national owner-operator focused on multifamily properties. The role involves leading all maintenance operations for a luxury lease-up property, ensuring building systems, common areas, and amenity spaces are maintained to the highest standards. The manager will be responsible for establishing preventive maintenance schedules, overseeing apartment turnovers, managing third-party contractors, and maintaining the property's curb appeal and presentation. A key aspect of the role is building and leading a responsive, service-first maintenance team.

Requirements

  • Strong maintenance leadership experience with Class A luxury multifamily properties.
  • New-construction and/or lease-up experience strongly preferred, including building systems commissioning and warranty coordination.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair; relevant certifications a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, preventive maintenance programs, and unit turnover timelines.
  • A resident-first mindset and the polish to operate in a luxury, high-touch environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all maintenance operations for luxury lease-up, including building systems, common areas, and amenity spaces.
  • Establish and manage preventive maintenance schedules and standards from day one.
  • Oversee apartment turnovers and unit readiness in coordination with the leasing team to support lease-up velocity.
  • Manage third-party contractors and vendors, including compliance with contracts and scopes of work.
  • Maintain impeccable curb appeal and pristine building presentation consistent with Class A luxury standards.
  • Hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members, building a responsive, service-first maintenance culture.
