About The Position

G3 Terminal Vancouver (G3TV), located on the North Shore of Burrard Inlet in the Port of Vancouver, B.C., is a new grain export facility setting the standard for efficiency and technology. G3TV offers world-class unloading, processing, and shipping of agricultural products globally. The company fosters a safety-centric, positive, and progressive culture, emphasizing individual development within a team environment. The Maintenance Manager is crucial in upholding high professional standards and prioritizing worker safety while managing the asset care needs of G3TV. This role involves direct execution of repairs, maintenance, and improvements across all infrastructure and disciplines at the G3TV site.

Requirements

  • Qualifications dependent on experience; suitable electrician, millwright, technologist, or engineering background.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience within a heavy industrial setting.
  • Knowledge and application of Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with safety programs in an industrial facility.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to provincial and federal regulations, site safety standards, and safe-work practices, aiming for zero safety-related incidents while supervising hourly workers and contractors.
  • Plan and execute detailed maintenance for all site infrastructure, including process equipment and systems, automation systems, site utilities, and buildings.
  • Contribute to meeting financial targets through budget management and adherence to financial policies and processes.
  • Interface with the operations team to plan and schedule work on site equipment.
  • Apply critical thinking and innovation to work practices to achieve more efficient approaches and solutions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring accurate and timely issuance, and overseeing the parts ordering and receiving process. Maintain proper housekeeping of the shop and inventory.
  • Manage contractor services on site, ensuring compliance with site policies and safety standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
