About The Position

Superior Metal Technologies is looking for a manufacturing Maintenance Manager to handle all aspects of maintenance in our 120,000 square foot paint and anodizing facility. In this position the right person will be able to plan, execute and assign work, implement policies and procedures and recommends improvements in methods, equipment, procedures and working conditions. This position drives continuous improvement through the plant operation and may lead others as necessary to maintain a high level of morale. Where safety is always our top priority, balance safety, quality, cost, productivity and achieving positive results in all areas. Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment and safety and health management program. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed and completes these tasks or coordinates with contractors/vendors as needed. Ability to properly operate power tools, and associated equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to perform the above duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or equivalent work experience
  • Five plus years of experience with maintenance leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Previous supervision experience required
  • Proven knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Experience with preventative maintenance
  • Willingness to be a hands-on leader
  • Self-starter – ability to work independently and strive for constant improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
  • Strong knowledge of overhead crane systems
  • Able to program and trouble shoot PLC control systems
  • Welding aluminum and steel experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical AC and DC, single phase and 3 phase - 480V, 277V, 240V, 120V, 24V, 12V
  • Proper operation of cutting torch
  • Rebuild and troubleshooting pumps (centrifugal and diaphragm)
  • Troubleshooting and repair hydraulics
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues with and without prints
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues with and without prints

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an aluminum finishing environment highly desired
