About The Position

The Maintenance job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient maintenance, operation and performance of work assignments. Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of operations and maintenance resources to effectively achieve production improvements through usage of industry standard methodologies. This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of WTCC.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Sophomore year toward a BS Degree in related scientific field
  • Please ensure you provide number of credits earned and current GPA on your resume
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentum visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)

Responsibilities

  • Perform an analysis of equipment failures to determine the best approach for development of a library of off-the-shelf maintenance work procedures to help reduce equipment downtime.
  • Assist with surveillances and data gathering for ongoing organizational performance monitoring.
  • Work on documenting existing processes within the organization and propose improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Identify areas of communication breakdown within teams and propose strategies to enhance communication channels.
  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.
