Maintenance Intern: Summer 2027
About The Position
Viaflex is seeking a Maintenance Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will complete projects and tasks during the internship period, attend company training and educational seminars, and work with an assigned mentor and manager to complete the internship successfully. The role includes sharing periodic project updates and delivering an end-of-summer internship presentation. The intern will also support the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards and demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values. The position is primarily in a normal office environment, with occasional entry into production areas that may involve noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures. Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Currently a first-year engineering student.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without close supervision.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
- Flexibility and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Responsibilities
- Complete projects and tasks assigned within the internship discipline.
- Attend Viaflex-sponsored training and educational seminars.
- Engage in and participate in Viaflex-sponsored events.
- Work closely with an assigned mentor and manager to successfully complete the internship.
- Provide periodic updates to managers and peers on assigned projects.
- Complete an end-of-summer internship presentation.
- Demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values and encourage team members to do the same.
- Perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and assist in other areas as needed.
- Learn, understand, continuously improve, and promote the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
