About The Position

The Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate is an hourly, part-time role that supports sales and a positive customer and associate experience by keeping the store clean, safe, and inviting. The position performs daily cleaning, maintenance, and supply-replenishment activities and requires high hygiene standards and attention to detail. The associate maintains cleanliness throughout the store, thoroughly cleans and sanitizes restrooms and the associate breakroom, replenishes supplies, replaces lights, and promptly addresses safety hazards. The role also supports customers and teammates, contributes to store objectives and culture, follows asset-protection and safety procedures, and learns and applies store processes and policies.

Ability to bend, reach, stretch for product, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
Maintain cleanliness throughout all store areas by dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning mirrors, and collecting trash, hangers, and sensor tags.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and the associate breakroom, including surfaces and appliances, and restock essential items.
Replenish supplies at registers, including bags, boxes, and tissue paper, and remove unnecessary items.
Organize and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies for efficient access by the store team.
Identify and promptly resolve safety hazards, including spills, icy sidewalks, and broken glass.
Replace interior and exterior lights to maintain a well-lit store environment.
Use training tools and resources, embrace feedback, and build knowledge of operational processes and procedures.
Stay informed about products, promotions, policies, and store events to support execution.
Build connections with teammates, share knowledge, and celebrate individual and team achievements.
Warmly acknowledge and assist customers, support the store during peak traffic and coverage periods, and complete other assigned tasks.
Follow asset protection procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols to support shortage control and minimize risk.
