About The Position

This position will perform tasks involving welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing and replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water and steam pipes, lines and systems in an industrial environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Requirements

Knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, plumbing and boilers.
Ability to use basic hand tools.
Basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
Ability to lift 60 pounds.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift.
Must be 18 years of age.
3 months of industrial maintenance work experience listed on application.
Ability to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States.
Pass an urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
