About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves monitoring equipment during production, making necessary repairs or adjustments, and documenting any corrections required. Preventive maintenance is performed on weekends, and equipment is rebuilt as needed. The position also assists with the installation of new equipment and provides maintenance support throughout the entire facility. Manual tasks include greasing, changing oil, and cleaning various plant equipment. The role requires monitoring equipment and computer boards, troubleshooting mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints, and the ability to work other shifts when necessary. Adherence to safety rules like Lockout/Tagout and compliance with OSHA standards are mandatory. Close collaboration with other maintenance personnel is essential for information exchange. The job requires working with fragile devices needing precise attention and performing all other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

Must have at least 3 months of maintenance experience. enrollment in a maintenance / mechanical program can be considered in lieu of experience.
Good hand-eye coordination
Capable of moving equipment, machinery, etc., in excess of 40 pounds when needed
Able to work on and inspect equipment, which may involve bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing
Able to move freely throughout the plant over and around equipment, people and other obstacles
Able to communicate and get along well with others
Able to climb ladders
Able to reach, lift and work overhead
Able to walk, stand or sit for the duration of the shift
Able to complete mandatory online training
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities
