About The Position

The Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and documenting orders, scheduling loads of feed, and dispatching loads of feed while distributing them evenly among drivers within DOT rules and regulations. This role involves answering calls from Service Techs and Growers, organizing and flexing tasks, and adapting to changing priorities throughout the day. The position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The dispatcher must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required by demand scheduling, and work in elevated areas while following all safety procedures. Additionally, the role requires maintaining good housekeeping, communicating effectively with all levels of operations, customers, and vendors, and following all Tyson Health and Safety protocols. The job also involves physical requirements such as lifting up to 60 lbs (or up to 100 lbs with assistance) and sustaining physical activity throughout the day, including standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs.

Requirements

  • 6-months of experience in this field.
  • Clerical experience and/or feed mill experience.
  • Ability to read and write in order to receive and document orders.
  • Ability to schedule loads of feed by creating and organizing feed tickets and maintaining them for record keeping.
  • Ability to dispatch loads of feed and distribute them evenly among driver/team members within DOT rules and regulations.
  • Ability to answer calls from Service Techs and Growers while maintaining a good working relationship with them.
  • Ability to organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day.
  • Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
  • Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
  • Able to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
  • Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
  • Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
  • Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Must reside within the United States to be eligible for employment.
