About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer maintains the hotel’s systems and equipment to support a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. The role performs inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other systems. It also includes minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs, and responding to emergencies such as fire alarms and power outages. The position requires physically demanding work and adherence to safety procedures when using tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Nice To Haves

Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field.
Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.
Technical know-how, attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and fine-tune hotel plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other systems.
Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms and common areas and on essential equipment, including refrigerators and ice machines.
Complete minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs.
Troubleshoot equipment problems, leaks, and electrical issues.
Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms and power outages, prioritizing guest safety.
Move objects weighing more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Follow OSHA safety guidelines when using tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery.
Keep work areas clean and safe, and store tools and hazardous materials properly.
