About The Position

The Housekeeper maintains clean, welcoming guest rooms and public areas at Hyatt Place Houston/Galleria. The role includes cleaning and refreshing guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, carpets, and furniture; replenishing linens and supplies; maintaining a prepared housekeeping cart; and completing deep-cleaning and light maintenance tasks. Housekeepers also respond to guest requests, deliver items, provide friendly service, and help maintain a safe environment for guests, coworkers, and hotel property. Availability for either the standard 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. shift or the mid-shift 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. shift is required, as is weekend availability. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Full-time hires become eligible for the listed benefits after an initial waiting period.

Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms and housekeeping equipment.
Clean lobbies, hallways, restrooms, carpets, and furniture.
Keep the housekeeping cart stocked and ready for use.
Make beds with fresh linens and restock guest-room supplies.
Perform deep-cleaning and light maintenance tasks, including changing AC filters and applying paint.
Respond to guest requests and deliver requested items with a smile.
Provide friendly customer service to guests.
Help protect guests and hotel property by monitoring sensitive areas.
Follow safe work practices.
