About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer. The role supports hotel operations by maintaining property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms; performing preventative maintenance; and responding to and completing maintenance work orders. The position also includes daily rounds to identify and report problems and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, bend, stretch, push, pull, move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery, visually inspect machines, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Hotel maintenance experience; the posting states a minimum of three (2) years is preferred.
• One year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
