About The Position

SEMO Milling has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician at our facility in Scott City, Missouri! This position is responsible for helping with and maintaining all electrical aspects of the milling operation, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of vocational electrical training and classes
  • Journeyman electrician qualified
  • Minimum 5 years industrial electrical experience
  • Allen Bradley PLC programming experience
  • Team oriented

Responsibilities

  • Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring on electrical fixtures, motors, and control equipment
  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials
  • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows schematics or blueprints to ensure that the wiring is installed correctly and to code
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures, switches, relays, circuit breakers, motor control centers, power distribution panels, and switch gear
  • Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components
  • Operate multi meters, ohmmeters, and amp meters
  • Troubleshoot electrical components and systems
  • Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
  • Responsible for quality of work within area and efficient use of time
  • Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment
  • Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures
  • Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present
  • Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties
  • Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements
  • Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.
