About The Position

Continental is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, production machinery, and facility electrical infrastructure. The role supports manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. It is based in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment, with multiple shifts available and potential overtime and weekend work. The environment is non-climate-controlled, with temperature swings, machinery, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. The work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Safety procedures and guidelines must always be followed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and wiring.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Experience with three-phase power, motor controls, VFDs, and PLC troubleshooting.
Arc Flash Safety compliance experience.
Electrician certification, technical training, or apprenticeship experience.
Experience maintaining both production machinery and facility electrical systems.
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues involving production machinery, motors, controls, and industrial equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, motors, sensors, switches, relays, and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot motor controls, three-phase power systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
Assist with electrical installations, equipment upgrades, and capital projects.
Assemble new machinery control panels.
Identify recurring electrical problems and recommend solutions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Support troubleshooting of automated equipment and PLC-controlled systems.
Follow electrical safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues and repair needs with the maintenance team.
Work with production, engineering, and other maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
Oversee and maintain stock for shop electrical supplies.
