About The Position
Industrial electrician installs, maintains, and repairs complex electrical systems, high-voltage machinery, and automated controls. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment failures, reading technical blueprints, and performing routine preventative maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Journeyman or Strong History working as an electrician.
Nice To Haves
- Strong ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Working knowledge of PLCs and automated controls.
Responsibilities
- Set up wiring, transformers, motors, and high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and fix complex electrical faults in heavy machinery to prevent production downtime.
- Conduct routine checks on electrical panels, automated systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Follow national, state, and local electrical codes alongside strict workplace safety rules.
- Diagnose root causes of equipment and system breakdowns using hand tools and test instruments.
- Clean, lubricate, adjust, and perform scheduled preventive checks on motors, conveyor systems, and pumps.
- Disassemble malfunctioning devices to replace broken gears, bearings, or valves and reassemble them to optimal specifications.
- Set up, calibrate, and align new factory equipment or heavy machinery based on blueprints and technical manuals.
