About The Position

IPEX is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic (Licensed Electrician) to join their Bermondsey manufacturing operations team. This role is critical in ensuring production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The position supports production performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. The work type is Full-Time | Permanent, with a 12-hour continental Day shift schedule. The starting salary is $49.94/hour.

Requirements

  • Ontario or Interprovincial Electrician certification (442A, 309A or Red Seal)
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment and production machinery.
  • Proven commitment to safe work practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Dual-ticket certification (Millwright and Electrician)
  • Experience in plastic manufacturing or injection moulding environments.
  • Strong hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Support equipment uptime and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain facility equipment and plant infrastructure.
  • Support repairs and upgrades to building systems and utilities.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Follow spare parts inventory and maintenance processes.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental, and ISO requirements.
  • Complete maintenance documentation using CMMS systems.
  • Participate in audits, investigations, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote and maintain 5S standards throughout the facility.
