About The Position

The Maintenance Director oversees preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs and provides counsel to management regarding community issues. The role supervises maintenance and groundskeeping staff and requires general maintenance knowledge, HVAC experience, and familiarity with equipment and building systems. The director must be available for on-call rotations, carry a cell phone, and respond to maintenance calls. The role also requires knowledge of how to shut off the community’s main power, water, and/or gas supplies, and familiarity with the Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and the Fire & Disaster Plan, including following applicable policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC experience.
• Availability for on-call rotations.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and the functions of all equipment.
• Some knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, machinery, and related areas.

Nice To Haves

• Prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Regulations.
